DENVER (AP) (AP) Late in the game, Russell Wilson had a chance to win it.

In the end zone, he threw an interception. In overtime, the quarterback

the Denver Broncos got a second opportunity to win the match

On fourth-and-short, he fired an incomplete pass that ended the game without even looking at an open receiver.

Wilson was signed for situations like this and was compensated with a $245 million

deal before ever playing a snap in Denver, but he was unable to deliver

on Thursday night in a 12-9 defeat to the Indianapolis Colts.

Wilson, who threw two interceptions, one of which led to Indy's game-tying field goal

with five seconds remaining in regulation, remarked, "I let the team down today."
